About

Christopher Delp is recognized industry-wide for his leadership in Digital Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and open-source tooling for systems engineering. Across more than 25 years on JPL flight projects, his work has spanned system architecture and design, safety-critical software development and test, and the application of systems engineering discipline across the full project lifecycle.

He has played a leading role in JPL's transition to MBSE and digital engineering practice, including a multi-year effort to rearchitect JPL's Model-Based Engineering enterprise for Systems and Software Engineering within the lab's Computer-Aided Engineering program — building a modern, open environment for system modeling, analysis, and simulation.

He co-founded OpenMBEE, an open-source initiative for model-based engineering environments, and leads the INCOSE Model-Based Environments workshop, with a continued focus on open-source approaches to systems modeling.
